Meet Jean- Luc Cooke

“Innovation is the ability to see change as an opportunity – not a threat.”

William Pollard

To tackle with the challenges facing our communities in Nepean-Carleton we need a person that believes in our people’s capacity to create and innovate.  Jean-Luc Cooke is such a person.

As the Green Party of Canada’s candidate in the riding of Nepean-Carleton, Jean-Luc Cooke wants to unleash the hidden potential in our communities.

Recently appointed to the Green Party’s shadow cabinet as Small Business critic, Jean-Luc needs no convincing that community-based businesses are the economic backbone of our country.  After graduating from Carleton University with a degree in engineering, Jean-Luc created CertainKey Inc., an information security consultancy firm.

Jean-Luc is acutely aware that we need to act now to create a future for our citizens; this is why he has chaired the Green Party’s Pension Policy Committee.

People of our community matter and Jean-Luc has spent much of his time contributing to the betterment of the people of Nepean-Carleton. He has deep roots in our communities and is connected to the collective desires and needs of the people. Married in Barrhaven/Fallowfield Village, he and his wife and two daughters (ages three years, and ten months) live in Bells Corners.

Jean-Luc’s love of community has spurred his involvement with the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Eastern Ontario and many community events. He has a passion for the outdoors, spending time with friends and family camping and canoeing.  Full of energy, understanding, and integrity, Jean-Luc Cooke seeks to be the people’s voice in our national parliament and to help his fellow citizens shape the democratic process to meet their own aspirations.
